Dr Hendra obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2016. In his first years after graduation, he had the privilege to serve in various healthcare institutions catering to different needs for the community. Ranging from primary community care at the NHG Polyclinics and SingHealth Polyclinics as well as catering to complex pediatric cases at the Health Promotion Board (School Dental Centre).
Dr Hendra also spent more than two years practicing advanced general dentistry at the Dental Surgery department in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. In his time as a dental officer in the hospital, he gained much experience in the handling of root canal treatments, crowns, medically complex patients, and emergency dental trauma cases. He is also a member of the College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore. He believes there is always room for improvement in his skills and is looking forward to provide better care for his patients every day.
Owing to his fruitful year at the School Dental Centre, Dr Hendra has a special interest in children dental treatment. He finds joy in helping children overcome their fear of dentists, from the simple first-time polishing experience to the complex baby tooth root canal treatment and crown. Dr Hendra is also regularly involved in overseas volunteer mission trips to Indonesia, providing basic and preventive dental care to regions with poor access to dentistry. He finds joy and fulfilment in serving these communities. In his free time, he enjoys baking sophisticated cakes and playing the piano. He also makes it a point to hit the gym at least two times a week for a balanced healthy lifestyle.
