Dr Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS, 2009) and attained the University Bronze Medal. He later completed his Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, 2015) while on scholarship from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and also graduated from the Medical Officer Conversion Course in the same year and is a medical officer with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). He served as a consultant in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and represented the dental department on the anti-thrombotic, bisphosphonate and operating theatre workgroups and was also the deputy in the hospital’s harzardous materials (HAZMAT) taskforce. He remains a visiting consultant to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
His cheerful and approachable demeanour often puts patients at ease and he strives to do his best in allaying fear and the misconception that surgery is always scary and painful.
In his free time, he enjoys scale modelling and spending time with his lovely wife and cat.
